Lionel Passenger Set no. 2124W MINT Set Boxed

Lionel postwar GG-1 passenger outfit no. 2124W, circa 1947, in individual OBs with original cardboard inserts and set box containing; 2332 green Pennsylvania five stripe GG-1, 2625 Irvington Pullman, 2625 Madison Pullman, 2625 Manhattan Pullman, 167 whistle controller with instruction sheet, eight curve track sections, five straight track sections, RCS remote control track set, instruction sheets, operating booklet, service station booklet and advertising flyer. The loco has very strong original rubber stamped silver stripes, lettering and decals. The stripes are consistent from end to end which is difficult to find on a 2332. The paint on the passenger cars have nice original matte patina with strong lettering. The set has never been run, C9-10. The engine OB has all flaps attached, is square and clean with strong printing. The car OBs have all flaps attached with tape repaired flaps on two of the boxes. Two of the OBs were over stamped 2627 and 2628 which is correct, indicating the numbering changes to come in the 1948 version of this set. The set box is sealed on the bottom and has a label which is fully intact with scuff marks. This is a high quality matched original set difficult to find in this condition.
