Lionel prewar O gauge outfit no. 273W, circa 1940 freight train outfit in individual OBs with set box and outer shipping carton containing; 226E black steam loco, 2226W tender, three 3811 lumber cars, three 160 bins, 2817 caboose red with tuscan roof and white lettering and 164 gray version lumber loader with original inserts and controller. This is a high quality matched original set that has not much run time and is a strong C8. The roof on the 164 has one paint flake and the base has rubs on edge. The paint is bright, C8. Loco is missing the OB. Tender OB has only one interior flap. The car OBs have all flaps attached except for one interior flap is missing and there is some tape repair. The caboose OB has one interior flap missing and is clean. 164 OB has more than half the label missing and has a stain on the bottom. Set box is fantastic. It is square and sealed on the bottom. The cardboard is very clean with great original tape. The label is intact with bright and vivid colors. The outer shipping carton is worn and has been cut open on three sides. It has a Lionel shipping label which is stamped Ò1-NO. 273WÓ. This is the best 273W set box we have ever sold. The outstanding condition is attributed to it being stored in the outer shipping carton.
