Chinese Tang-Era Painted-Pottery Horse's Head

Chinese painted-pottery horse's head, ca. Tang Dynasty (618-907 CE). Features an open mouth, sculpted bridle, and red-painted highlights, with 2 holes at the back of the head meant to fit detachable ears (now lost). Mounted on a custom-made clear plastic stand.
Dimensions: Head, 2-1/2"H x 2-3/8"W x 6-1/4"L; with stand, 6"H x 2-3/4"W x 7-1/2"L
 

Consistent with age; significant loss to painted surface.
