Provenance: James Keenan of Newtownforbes, Co. Longford (1894-1963); thence by descent In 1956 (25 April) General Seán MacEoin former officer commanding the Longford Brigade, then Minister for Defence gave a list of people in Longford in receipt of military pensions. James Keenan, ref. no C395 was in receipt of an annual pension of £56.5s.0d. Volunteer Keenan served under MacEoin at the Battle of Ballinalee. His wife served in Cumann na mBan.
