1824-27. Maria Edgeworth and Family - A Correspondence. manuscript, 2pp. to 6pp. each A good collection of entire letters, with six by Maria, three by Frances Anne, and one by Frances Maria and Lucy Jane. Interesting content such as thanking Mrs Strickland for sending her "Those very entertaining scandalous verses of [Richard Brinsley] Sheridan's which prove that drunk or sober wit was ever at his fingers ends. These have all the appearance of having been written when he was half seas over." Strickland was a local land agent for the Dillons, absentee landlord at Loughglynn Castlerea.(10 letters)
