1895 (20 January) Rosa Mulholland (Lady Gilbert) (d.1921) letter. manuscript on printed letterhead. 17 by 10cm., 6.5 by 4in. A successful Belfast born author of popular novels, including The Wild Birds of Killeavy, Banshee Castle, she married Sir John Gilbert LL.D in 1891. In her own hand from her house, Villa Nova, in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, regretting that she cannot give a donation to "The Ierne".
