Clementine Hunter (1887-1988), "Cotton Pickers," 1973, oil on board, signed l.r., framed, H.- 24 in., W.- 23 3/4 in. Note: The owner purchased this painting directly from Clementine herself in 1973. She went to see her with a friend who also purchased a painting. Clementine charged her friend much less for the painting, and when the owner inquired why it was more than double the price, Clementine replied, "You can cut that painting along the dirt and make three paintings out of it."

Nothing to report, piece is in excellent condition.
