A Set of Eight Capo Di Monte Porcelain Parcel Gilt and Polychromed Armorial Plates, 20th century, consisting of four soup bowls, and four salad plates, each having a central reserve decorated with the armorial shield of Napoleon I and Josephine within a draping fringed cloak surmounted by a crown flanked by armorial animals framed by scrolling foliage, stylized "C" scrolls, and rocaille enclosed by a border of dancing maidens and classical figures in leisurely pursuits molded "en relief." Under glaze blue crowned N mark, overgraze gilt bee with Napoleon and Josephine. (8)

The porcelain is in fine condition. There is slight loss to the gray paint decoration at the base of the armorials between the lion’s paws on 2 small plates, and in the same spot on 3 of 4 bowls. Overall great condition as a set.
