Hollow statue of a seated-Buddha wearing a monastic robe with right arm resting on a stack of books and the left hand showing the gesture representing The Wheel of Dharma and rests on the left knee, cast-iron, Chinese, ca. twentieth century; marked on back. The mudra, or hand gesture, and the stack of books represent the union of wisdom and method.

Dimensions: 14"H x 9"W x 7"D

Iron oxide, minor nicks, and soiling on surface.
