Orientalist-style figure of a young Moorish boy holding a treasure chest and standing on a woven rug, hand-painted by Franz Xavier Bergman (1861-1936), cast bronze, Austria, ca. 1900s; marked on the bottom and inscribed N-Greb ("Namgreb" is "Bergman" spelled backward). Franz Bergman delighted in producing Orientalist and animal subjects and was the most famous of the Viennese "cold-painted bronze" artists. He was recognized for his great attention to detail and vibrant colors. Dimensions: 3-3/8"H x 3-1/2"L x 2-5/8"W Condition reportOverall very good, with occasional light wear.
