5 Chinese Cloisonne Vases & 2 Stoneware Teapots

Set of 5 cloisonne vases with delicate floral motifs and 2 stoneware teapots, brass and enamel, China; 2 teapots marked. Chinese cloisonne objects were orginally intended to furnish temples, palaces, and lady's chambers and became greatly prized at court by the fifteenth century. Set includes: 

1 large lidded vase with various flowers, butterflies, and a phoenix decoration within a large, glittered cartouche,

2 vase with apricot blossom decorations against brown background filled with cloud motif,

2 small vases with magnolia decorations against brown bacground filled with cloud motif,

1 stoneware teapot with bamboo-shaped spout and handle,

1 stoneware teapot.

Dimensions: Lidded vase 6-1/2"H x 3-3/4" diameter; vase with apricot blossom 4-1/8"H x 2-1/4" diameter; small vase 2-3/4"H x 1-3/4" diameter; teapot 2-1/2"H x 4-5/8"W; teapot with bamboo motif 2"H x 4-1/2"W
