Choson Korean Blue-Glazed Haetae Water Dropper

Haetae-form water dropper with blue glaze, porcelain, Korea, Choson (Joseon) Dynasty (1392-1910), nineteenth century; unmarked. Heatae is a legendary creature which resembles a lion but, in fact, fire-eating dog and a symbol of water.

Dimensions: 1-1/2"H x 2-7/8"W x 2"D

Overall excellent, some soiling to bottom.
