Meiji Period Japanese Satsuma Vase by Kinzan I

Satsuma vase on tripod base featuring underglaze gold leaf design on a deep red ground by Kinzan I, porcelain, Meiji Period, Japan, ca. pre-1900; four character mark on bottom. The Kinzan kiln pioneered and developed unique gilding techniques such as underglaze gold leaf.

Dimensions: 10.5"H x 27.75" circumference
