Napoleon III Ebonized and Polychromed Platform Bed, late 19th century, the headboard and footboard each with an outscrolled turned and parcel-gilt crest bar above a shaped panel featuring a medallion painting of an elaborate floral and avian scene within gilt foliate patterns, the platform raised on heavily turned bulbous legs with gilt accents, h. 43", inside w. 53-1/4", l. 76-1/4", outside w. 47-1/4", l. 90-1/4".
