Napoleon III Marble-Top Mirrored Dresser

Napoleon III Kingwood, Fruitwood and Marble-Top Mirrored Dresser, late 19th century, in the Transitional style, the beveled and domed rectangular mirror surmounted by a banded frieze and ormolu crest, the lower section with a rounded rectangular variegated gray marble top above a conforming case fitted with three long drawers, all banded and inlaid to simulate a central cupboard flanked to either side by a bank of three small drawers, the whole raised on shaped feet ending in sabots, h. 82-1/4", w. 48-1/2", d. 21".
