Provincial Louis XV-Style Polychromed Glazed Cabinet, early 19th century, the molded cornice with canted corners above a conforming case fitted with two doors, each with an astragal-glazed upper section and a paneled lower section, each panel with carved scrolling designs, raised on a scalloped apron on block feet, h. 81-1/4", w. 45", d. 20-1/2".
Condition reportProvincial Louis XV-Style Polychromed Glazed Cabinet: In good overall condition. No notable flaws or imperfections. The latter paint is distressed to stimulate patina to the surface, even though the cabinet dates to the mid 19th century. The cabinet comes apart for moving.
