Condition reportThomas Sidney Cooper (British, 1803-1902): Canvas appears not have been relined and there are 4 patches to the back of the canvas. Appears to have old inpainting repairs. mostly in the sky area, one 1/2" long one on one of the cows. One area in the sky, about 3-1/2" x 1/2" and one very minor one, exhibits signs of old overpainting. Craquelure throughout and slightly dirty. Frame appears to be original to the painting and bears a plaque incised with artist's name.
