Tawker and Sons, Madras, Salt Service, fourth quarter 19th century, the parcel-gilt silverplate service for four persons and comprising four tripodal salts of stylized flowerhead form with gilded interiors, h. 1", dia. 2-1/4", and four "Plain Antique" silverplate salt spoons, l. 2-1/8", the black faux-morocco case fitted and retaining the period midnight blue silk and velvet linings.
