English Painted Leather Three-Fold Screen, second quarter 20th century, featuring an equestrian fox hunt, the panels edged in black morocco bands with decorative brass nailheads, h. 68-1/2", w. 60".
Condition reportEnglish Painted Leather Three-Fold Screen: Craquelure throughout, on both sides, abrasions to top and bottom edges, whitish surface scratches with discoloration in five places. Three small inpainting repairs in the tops of trees on a left-hand screen, loss of painting in 4 small thin areas, all 1/2" and less long. Back with a few scattered surface scratches.
