French Gilt-Lacquered Brass and Steel Mesh Firescreen, first quarter 20th century, in the Louis XVI style, the oval mesh center with a gilt-brass mount of a pair of putti in flight, the stiles with "chapeau de gendarme" finials, the whole supported on scrolled feet, h. 34-3/4", w. 33-1/4", d. 8-1/2".
Condition reportFrench Gilt-Lacquered Brass and Steel Mesh Firescreen: One finial not original to the screen and loose, top of one finial not gilded, minor dings and soiling throughout.
