French Richly Gilded and Polychromed Porcelain Centerpiece Bowl, in the Louis XVI Sevres style, with bleu celeste ground, the exterior with a polychromed frieze of galants figures in a sylvan riverside landscape, the interior centered with an opulent spray of summer flowers, the rim with a polychromed floral garland caught with six equidistant bowknots, the base with pseudo-Sevres interlaced L's in blue bearing the date letter "S" for 1777, h. 9-5/8", dia. 13-3/4".
