U.S. M1840 wrist breaker cav sword

K-25 - US M1840 "wrist breaker" cavalry sword. Brass pommel and 3-branch guard. Brass wire wrapped leather grip. Fairly clean 35 1/2" curved blade has grayed. Original leather buffer. Scabbard has been painted black and the bands/rings and drag were nickel plated some time ago. (Sword is supposedly attributed to Lt. E.S. Wirts of the 1st Ohio cavalry.) About II.....$400.00
