Includes: (1) "MY SERVICE RECORD" - photos of camp Goettqe in New Caledonia, buddies, a soldiers life, etc. Also handwritten entries, newspaper clippings, ephemera certificates, etc. (2) Diary from July 7, 1942 which includes handwritten entries, newspaper clippings, photos, and ephemera items. (3) Medals - Asiatic Theater, American Campaign, Good Conduct, and Victory Medal. Also ribbon bar - all in a Maori hand-carved box. (4) Souvenir Chinese bone-carved dagger. (5) Pocket Bible. (6) Books - "PACIFIC TREASURE ISLAND (New Caledonia)" , instructional booklet on New Caledonia - with photos, and "The Pacific World". Four wartime local publications - including the "Victory" August 16th 1945 edition of the "South Pacific DAILY NEWS". (7) Two framed promotion certificates of Gettman.
