American School, 19th Century

The Burning of Charlestown Near Boston New England. Unsigned, titled below with additional inscriptions "view taken from Beacon Hill which was afterwards --- down to fill up the Mill Pond." Ink and pastel on thin card with pencil inscriptions identifying landmarks, 9 x 15 3/4 in., in a later mitered wooden frame. Condition: Toning, minor foxing.

Condition: Probably trimmed as a couple inscriptions go off the panel.
