Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Pillar and Scroll Mantel Clock, Ephraim Downes for George Mitchell, Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1825, the scrolled cresting above the two-part door with eglomise tablet showing a house in a landscape, the painted and gilt wooden dial with Arabic numerals houses a wooden thirty-hour time and strike movement, ht. 28 1/2 in.

Condition: backboard loose from case; glass with severe flaking; feet are broken and repaired, scroll cresting with losses; lacks finials, weights, and pendulum.
