Mahogany Tall Clock by Jonathan Mulliken, Newburyport, Massachusetts, c. 1780, the associated case with carved fan crest, barley-twist columns on the hood, waist and base, glazed hood and waist door, on a flat molded base, 12 in. composite brass dial with Roman numerals, maker's boss in the arch engraved Jonathan Mulliken, Newburyport, silvered and engraved center, recessed seconds dial and brass spandrels, eight-day time and strike movement with rack and snail strike, pendulum and two brass-cased weights, wooden pendulum rod and brass-faced bob, ht. 88 1/2 in.

Condition: Although presently off the clock, all twist columns and brass Doric and acanthus leaf capitals are with the clock, carved claw feet removed from case but with the clock, pendulum rod is broken at an old break, weights are replacements.
