Portrait of "Home Sweet Home" Composer John Howard Payne. Unsigned. Indistinctly inscribed on the stretcher "Portrait of J.H. Paine [sic] Composer of "Home Sweet Home"/Copy of original in Boston Museum of Fine Arts." Oil on canvas, 30 x 26 in., in a period molded giltwood frame. Condition: Scattered repaint.

Condition: Repaint to upper background areas on hair and face.
