Important Pair of German Bisque Porcelain Figures

A large and impressive pair of German bisque porcelain figures of a dandy and his lady both in late 18th C dress. The pair was manufactured at the Sitzendorf factory in Germany about 1890. Both the painting and the tooled gilding are of the highest quality and they are in excellent condition It is not common to find a pair of this size without damages or repairs. They both stand 27" in height and the bases are 8" in diameter. The mark for the Sitzendorf factory is on the base of both figures.
