- Framing: Framed in accordance with accepted conservation standards, acid free mats and mounts, removable hinging.
- Note: Most likely this is one of the first impressions of this rare color woodcut as the Whyte Gallery ceased operation around 1956. Whyte opened the first exhibition of Escher prints in 1954, selling about 100 prints (See Locher-Bool p.74). Mr. and Mrs. Whyte visited Escher in Holland during their brief period representing the artist and while on an interesting all day trip to Belgium by helicopter, Escher drew a mosaic design in Mrs. Whyte's diary.
