dovetailed construction, top with applied molding, original bracket feet with astragal profile returns, feet with original glue blocks, hand wrought nails, original iron strap hinges and escutcheon, interior with lidded till, yellow pine secondary, probably Virginia, third quarter 18th century, 16 x 26 x 13 in. Proper left front foot with old small crack, other abrasions, chips, dents and surface wear, top with several stains, lacking lock, several screws missing on hinges.
