Middle Tennessee Chest of Drawers

Rutherford County, TN chest of Drawers, signed illegible name and dated 1849. Figured cherry primary with walnut and poplar secondary. One drawer over three drawers design, unusual beveling of drawer fronts with dovetails and wooden pulls, unusual top construction with breadboard center, paneled sides and back, cherry figured Doric pilaster turnings to front, all resting on triple ring and ball turned feet. Condition - overall very good condition with older refinish, minor build up of drawer sides. 48 3/8" Height x 42 5/8" Width x 20 1/2" Depth. Found by the consignors grandmother in the 1920's in Rockvale, TN.
