Description
This circa-1860 French gilt-bronze-mounted 12-light chandelier shimmers with overlay green and ruby glass. The lobed ceiling canopy is joined by rods and chains to the floret-carved bowl from which rise the spiral-twist arms ending in drop-hung lobed drip pans and urn nozzles, fitted with etched glass storm shades, a central beaker-form urn, and acorn pendant. Appraised by Sotheby's in 2007 for $70,000. Offered here without reserve. Approx. H48" x 35"
