Description
Ca. 950 to 1300 A.D., this ancient Mimbres black and white bowl has just about everything you could ask for. Published in "Realistic Art & Times of the Mimbres Indians" by Author O.T. Snodgrass. The bowl was also once sold by Sotheby's of New York and published in their catalog. The bowl shows two separate images of human arms, complete with rope arm ties carrying a basket. In the center of the bowl is a vivid picture of a well detailed thunderbird. The white is very white, though the photographs give it a yellow look. This is an opportunity to purchase an important, beautiful and published work of pre-historic art, offered at about half its value. 4-5/8"H x 10-1/2"D.
