Description
Ca. 200 BC - 200 AD, from the Colima region of west Mexico. The dignitary seated under a canopied palanquin wearing a tight fitted cap, beaded necklace and and sits nude. The litter carried by four attendants arranged in pairs in two rows, each with legs outspread and supporting beams across their shoulders. Litter scene are a rare and highly desirable item. Manganese and dendrite deposits on surface. 8"L x 6-1/2"H.
