KESTNER 143 GERMAN BISQUE CHARACTER DOLL. Marks: A made in Germany 5/ 143. 13". Bisque socket head, brown sleep eyes, painted lower lashes, feathered brows, open mouth, two upper teeth, brown human hair wig, plaster pate, Kestner wood and composition jointed body stamped "Germany" on hip, straight wrists, old wool skirt and jacket, velvet shoes, wool hat. Commentary: Paint wear on cheeks, otherwise good quality bisque; arms repainted, otherwise original body finish.
