stretcher table, maple with poplar secondary, two-board top with breadboard ends, single drawer with dovetailed construction and rosehead nails, ring and baluster turned legs with box stretcher and turned feet, Rhode Island, first half 18th century, 27-3/4 x 39 x 25 in. Good condition overall, shrinkage at top with associated strip patch at center, other cracks and wear, chips and wear to feet (two with added risers), edge wear to drawer facing, base with later worn red paint (by Ned H. Hipp). Provenance: Robert E. Crawford Antiques.
