Italian Violin, Ferdinando Alberti, c. 1740, bearing the maker's label, length of two-piece back 354 mm.

Condition

Condition: Repaired back crack, approx. 27 cm. Repaired hairline crack from top edge of back, bass side, approx. 8 cm. Repaired hairline top cracks, one each side extending from top edge to ff. Repaired top hairline cracks from ff to lower edge, bass and treble sides. Inlaid breast patch in top. Pegholes bushed.
