Description
Ca 500 to 480 BC, a very lovely Greek Attic Lekythos - wine vessel - manufactured in Athens. Decorated on the exterior of the cylindrical body in black-figure technique with charioteer driving four horses (quadriga), most likely in a hunting scene with standing deer ahead, looking back at advancing chariot. Upper area of vessel decorated with three rings of checkerboard designs and top with two levels of rays, hunting scene further enhanced with incised lines. Large vessel measuring 7-1/2" H and with very nice quality art and incising!

Condition
Spout broken and repaired from several pieces, but body 100% intact and quite excellent!
