Perhaps the single most famous coin of the ancient world! Attica tetradrachm, with head of Athena on the obverse, Athens Owl on the reverse. Owl well-centered, but head of Athena is quite off-center. Weighing 17.1 grams, this coin would make a lovely pendant! After 393 B.C. (ref: SNG Copenhagen 63.6.)
PROVENANCE: Ex-private northern CO Collection.
