"Famous Signers on Colonial Currency
BENJAMIN JACOBS.
PA, April 10, 1777, 20s, a printer’s wood-block used to illustrate this important Colonial note signed by Benjamin Jacobs. Advertisers could then add their own imprint to the back of the note. We’re told that this was done to promote the American Numismatic Association’s annual convention at the Sheraton Hotel in Philadelphia, PA in August 1957, but we’ve never seen such a piece! Accompanied by a plastic sheet impression taken from the black and a single imprint taped to an explanatory sheet. Extremely Fine or better and ready to print more “notes.” Unique!
