Pair of Provincial Louis XV-Style Oak Fauteuils, third quarter 19th century, each with a scalloped crest centered by a shell carving, above two like-shaped splats, joined by outswept arms to the padded seat, raised on square supports joined by a shaped stretcher and ending in cabriole legs to scrolled toes, h. 39", w. 24", d. 18".
Condition
Pair of Provincial Louis XV-Style Oak Fauteuils, one chair has an old glued repair to the top slat. The other has a small crack where the top slat fits into the back post. Both are relatively sturdy. Light wear to the tops with a good overall patina.
