It is a 1880’s period strong box with Wells Fargo & Co. Painted on the top lid. NOTE We have had mixed opinions as to the origin and authenticity of this box and whether it was actually the property of the Wells Fargo & Co Express. We have no way of proving or disproving this information. We have no reason to dispute any of the information the estate’s heirs have provided to us.
