(Paramount-TV, 1987-94, 1993-99) Finely detailed aluminum construction with acrylic "barrel." Used as a dermal regenerator by Dr. Crusher (Gates McFadden) to heal scratch wounds on Riker's (Jonathan Frakes) face in the TNG episode, "Man of the People". The prop served multiple usage in DS9: as a medical device used by Dr. Bashir (Alexander Siddig) to resuscitate Chief O'Brien (Colm Meaney) in the episode, "Visionary"; as a dermal regenerator used by Bashir to add facial scars to Worf (Michael Dorn) and his brother Kurn in order for them to infiltrate a Klingon starship in "Sons of Mogh"; as a dermal regenerator used by Bashir in "A Time to Stand"; and finally was modified and repainted for use as a Ferengi knife-sharpener in "The Magnificent Ferengi".
