Louis Moreau (French, 1855-1919) Bronze Cast Statue, Ca. 1900. Bronze figure of a man writing on tablet, he wears a classical Roman garment and is seated with book beside him. Auguste Moreau was a student of Mathurin Moreau and exhibited in the salons of Paris. Statue 9 1/2" H. X 10" W. resting on a 3" X 15" marble base, 12" H. X 15" in all. Signed Moreau on chair & Lois on tablet. Excellent original patina.
