These items were found in a trunk which belonged to the notorious outlaw Jesse James. The items listed in this auction as well as five antique firearms were found in an around the trunk which was hidden in a barn on Jesse's Uncle's farm near Stamping Grounds, Kentucky. The trunk remained hidden in a dark corner under a deteriorating pile of hay for over 110 years before its discovery in 1998. These items are now up for sale in separate lots. Stitchery Sample Remnant and Board, Magnifying Glass Lense, Bank Note, and Leather Book Strap, This group of items will be sold together as one lot. This travel box contained Jesse's Baptismal Bible (Being sold as Lot 119, and other personal items, including the Magnifying Glass Lense, and the Bank Note.

The Stitchery Sample Remnant and Board have been professionally framed for display. The Leather Book Strap held the Photo Album (Being sold as Lot 106) and the book "The History of the Great Rebellion" (Being sold as Lot 126).
