Signed Cabinet Photograph, “Henry Ward Beecher”, 6.5” x 4.25”, formally posed black and white photograph, Choice Extremely Fine. Backstamp by Sarony Co., 680 Broadway, New York. Beecher was a famed Protestant clergyman and reformer who crusaded from the pulpit for temperance and against slavery and became one of the most influential public figures of his time. Some minor pencil notations on back, otherwise image is unaffected.
