Arron Burr Letter and Original Mailing Envelope

AARON BURR, Vice President; Shot and killed Alexander Hamilton in their famous duel.
Autograph Letter Signed, “A Burr,” dated at “Albany 1 Oct. 1822” one page, with integral original outer cover addressed in his hand, Choice Very Fine. Measuring 9.75” x 7.75” and addressed to Halsey Rogers in Caldwell, N.Y., having a red Albany circular date-stamp and a manuscript “10” (cents) postage rating. The letter is in regard to a future visit Burr is proposing to travel to Caldwell on a special project. The purpose of the letter “is to keep you (Halsey) at home” (to meet). Boldly signed and written in dark brown ink and very choice in appearance.
