Book Signed “R.E. Byrd” on the half-title page of his “Little America”, published in 1930 by G.P. Putnam’s Sons of New York and London, 422 pages, 9.5” x 6.25”, Very Fine. “First Edition” in original dust jacket, hard bound in blue cloth, lettered and decorated in gilt, illustrated with some 74 photographs and two folding maps of Antarctica. Additional newspaper clippings from the time noted and dated by Richard E. Byrd himself. Slightly worn covers and pages, with a scuffed spine, but in good condition overall, and seldom found with this nice collection of signatures and clippings.
