ANDREW CARNEGIE, Financier and Philanthropist.
Clipped Signature, “Andrew Carnegie”, in blue ink, no date or location, 1” x 3.5”, Choice Extremely Fine. Scottish-born industrialist, (1835-1919), Carnegie was the owner of the largest steel and iron works in the United States on his retirement in 1901. Carnegie believed that the wealthy had an obligation to give back to society, so he donated much of his fortune to causes like education and peace. A beautiful large, bold signature with minor adhesive residue at the top edge; not affecting the overall condition of the signature.
