Pair of Louis XV-Style Carved Giltwood and Plaster Overmantel Mirrors, fourth quarter 19th century, the cresting modeled as tall foliate scrolls mantled with flowers and foliage, the plates broadly beveled throughout, h. 53", w. 37-1/2".

Pair of Louis XV-Style Carved Giltwood and Plaster Overmantel Mirrors, both are in good overall condition. One has had the tip of the crest repaired and the tip of the crest repaired and is also lacking approx. 1" section of the beading of the inner liner. There is a two inch section of narrow molded gesso gone to the left shoulder of this mirror as well. Both have some small drilled holes to the top of the frame and on each side of the crest presumably from clips or hanging device. Both have been repainted gold.
